Pirate Injuries

Post by PAMDGrappler »

It should be interesting to see what line-up Clint runs out today against the Giants.  The roster is absolutely decimated by injury.  It’s hard to believe they own the highest winning percentage in the NL.  As long as the starting pitching stays healthy, they will have a chance most nights.  I just hope they can generate enough offense.  I said at the beginning of the year, I thought they were one bat short of being a serious contender, and I still believe that, but these guys play with a lot of heart and energy so I’d be happy to be proven wrong.  Go Bucs!

Pirates No. 5 prospect Cole Tucker and No. 8 prospect Bryan Reynolds are set to be in Pittsburgh today.

Erik Gonzalez going to the 60 day Dl with a broken collar bone, so Cole Tucker is the Pirates shortstop for at least the next two months, it appears.

Really hoping him or Newman step up. Hate losing prospects in a “necessity trade”
