Crimson raised an interesting point in another forum about what schools are good in what sport. Just curious what the thoughts are about what are the local schools best sport on a fairly regular basis. So if someone said to you Forest Hills - you may think their best sport is football. I don't follow all sports or schools so I'm curious. Mine would be as follows:

Forest Hills - Football
Portage - Football
Central Cambria - X-Country
Bishop Carroll - Girl's basketball
Bishop Guilfoyle - football lately, but overall - Girls Basketball
North Star -- Boys soccer or wrestling
Windber - Football
Bishop McCort - Baseball
Westmont - Wrestling or soccer
Bedford - Girls Soccer
Johnstown - Boys Basketball
Northern Cambria - Girls Volleyball
United - ???
Blacklick - ???
Saltsburg - Boys Basketball
Tyrone - Football
Hollidaysburg - Boys Basketball
Central - Boys Basketball
Conemaugh Township - Baseball
Conemuagh Valley - Softball
Bellwood - Girls Basketball
Juniata Valley - Girls Basketball

Cambria Heights - Track and Field?

I would agree that right now Bellwood is girls basketball. But over a 20 to 25 year span. Gotta be football. Sorta the opposite of your assessment on BG.

I have to agree. When I think Bellwood, I think football, John Hayes, yellow helmets, etc.
