Mountain League - Playoffs Week 4

Post by DragonsDoExist »

Last week 1-1 (Overall 51-10)

PIAA Class AAA Quarterfinal - Saturday 1pm @ Mansion Park

D6 Bald Eagle Area (11-2) vs D10 Sharon (9-3)...Sharon comes in to this one with an all-time PIAA playoff record of 5-4 vs D6 teams including a 45-25 win over Forest Hills last year. The Tigers are very balanced on offense but when they run it there is no question who is getting the ball. Senior Jordan Wilson has rushed for over 1700 yards and 23 TDs at an impressive 7 yards per carry. Wilson has carried it 250 times and there is not another back on the team with more than 5 carries. When the Tigers throw it QB Lane Voytik is a good one. The junior has passed for over 2500 yards to go with 26 TDs and 12 INTs and has some weapons on the outside. The WR duo of CJ Parchman (64/974/9) and Ty Eilam (51/597/5) have combined for 115 receptions and over 1500 yards, both are juniors. Sharon's 3 losses this year have come to D10-AA champ Wilmington, Sharpsville and Grove City. The Tigers were able to avenge the 42-9 regular season loss to Grove City and knock off the undefeated #1 seed 23-6 in the D10 championship game last week. Bald Eagle Area's storybook season continued last weekend with an expected 35-14 win over a 5 loss Bedford team. Junior QB Jaden Jones continued his impressive season with 4 more TD passes in the win over the Bison and has now thrown for over 2800 yards and 31 TDs to go along with 350 on the ground and 8 more scores. LB Kael Gardner leads the Eagles with 134 tackles including 17.5 TFL and will need a good game to help slow down Jordan Wilson. BEA has had quite a season but I think my Mountain League previews come to an end this weekend. Sharon 35 BEA 20
