Conference Affiliations: Chestnut Ridge / Guilfoyle / Bedford

Post by TheAncientEnemy2000 »

Looking for some clarification on a couple school conference affiliations...

1. When did Bishop Guilfoyle join the LHAC?
2. Chestnut Ridge. They have come and gone and joined again, correct? Does anyone have those years?
3. Bedford. What year did Bedford join the LHAC?

Thank you in advance!

Wasn't Bedford an original member invitee to the LHAC? That would place them around 87-88 when the league formed.

Bedford was part of the old Mountain Conference. When it disbanded and reformed into the LHAC, Bedford chose not to join or wasn't invited. Not sure which. They played independent for a few years before joining the LHAC, I would venture to guess around 1992/93.

Back in the league's early days, if a team wanted to join the LHAC, in order to keep a balance of even numbered teams, TWO teams had to apply/ be admitted at the same time.

I think Bedford joined LHAC in 96 or 97.

A bunch of guys throwing out random answers based on nothing to a guy who has not posted in 5 years looking for information that 3 people in the whole state might actually care about is the hottest thread on BC. Wow

Not throwing out random numbers....I was hired at BHS during the 95/96 school year and I'm almost positive that was the year they joined. I'll see if I can get the exact year.

I was in the Bedford gym last night. Football banner said they were conference champs in '94 so that narrows down our random numbers.
