District 5 Tournament

Post by Lefteyelouie »

So what are your thoughts? Who will be the team champs? Individual champs? Upset predictions?

It should be an interesting tournamet. Bedford has 5 top seeds to NBC's 2. I would predict Bedford wins the team title again.

I am suprised to see Troutman from NBC going at 152. I would have figured him having a better chance to win at 145.

I see NBC sending the most to regionals But Bedford will have the most champs. I think that along with Bedfor dpicking up alot of falls will win them the tourney.

Doesn't District 5 let guys switch weight classes all the way up to the tournament anyway?

I'm going to guess that Sollenberger beat him in eliminations. I don't know for sure, though.

Ok, I didn't really consider that. I guess those three are all pretty close. (Troutman, Sollenberger and Dick)

I'm pretty sure that Troutman and Sollenberger didn't even eliminate at 145 for districts

I think it's a good move for Troutman. 152 is weaker throughout the region than 145. In District 6, after Harris 152 is a very average weight class, while 145 features Perich, Risalitti, and Aungst.

I don't know about that. 152 looks pretty stout. I actually thought Gibbons dropped into a tougher weight from what 160 was.

1.Cody Wiercioch 9 Charleroi 25-0 state 2nd ranked
2.Travis McKillop 11 Burrell 29-4 3rd ranked
3.Gus Mizia 11 Bentworth 21-3 7th ranked
4.Montanna Trombetta 11 Carlynton 21-1
5. Gibbons 8th ranked
6. Harris 12th ranked

I see. I had no idea what D7 had. I just knew all D5 had was Gibbons and all D6 had was Harris. 152 was pretty weak at Thomas also. I personally am not real impressed by Harris. I think Gibbons would rough him up and I wouldn't be shocked if Troutman beat him. But those D7 horses will make it a tough weight in regionals.
