D6SN District Five Rankings: Week 5

District Five A
1. Berlin. 4-0. Next Game: @ North Star – The Mountaineers have not taken a step back this year, and that can be attributed to sophomore Braden Fochtman taking a big step this year. The schedule will start to get difficult starting this week with back to back road contests with North Star and Northern Cambria.
2. Northern Bedford. 4-0. Next Game: Southern Huntingdon – The NBC passing attack has been lights out this season. Blake Over is showing why he is one of the better single A quarterbacks in the state. The Panthers should be able to keep it rolling this week, but a big one with Mt. Union looms in two weeks.
3. Meyersdale. 3-1. Next Game: @ Ferndale – The Red Raiders proved they are a solid team, and gave a very good Windber team a battle. They have an interesting situation this week with Ferndale. The Yellow Jackets are decimated with injuries, and it may give Meyersdale a forfeit win.
4. Windber. 3-1. Next Game: @ Ligonier – The Ramblers have been rolling lately, and the high powered offense is in full gear. Can they take down an excellent Ligonier team on the road? It should be a very good game.
5. Tussey Mountain. 3-1. Next Game: Williamsburg – After a loss to NBC in week two, the Titans have really put the points up on the scoreboard. They have a tough one this week with a scrappy Williamsburg squad coming to town.
District 5 AA
1. Bedford. 3-1. Next Game: @ Westmont – After a tough loss against Richland, the Bison came out swinging against Bishop McCort and handled them with ease. This team is young, but very up and coming. They have a winnable game at Westmont, and could be setting up for a nice run down the stretch.
2. Everett. 2-2. Next Game: @ West Branch – After a tough loss to Northern Bedford, the Warriors were able to bounce back against Williamsburg. Everett should be able to take care of West Branch this week.
3. Chestnut Ridge. 2-2. Next Game: @Philipsburg-Osceola – The Lions were able to take down a good Bald Eagle team at home, and pull to .500. They have a winnable game with Philipsburg this week.
