Pitt has offered Rhode Island coach Danny Hurley its head coaching position. 3 million a year. That would make him a top-12 highest paid coach in college basketball. Should know in the next 24 hours. UConn and staying at URI is in the mix. Neither school can come close to Pitt financially.

Probably a little higher, depends who leaked it though. Hurley can triple his salary at Pitt. UConn has a budget issue and can only make a 2 million a year offer from what I've heard.

I know a lot of outlets ive seen said he is learning very hard towards UConn and Hurley doesnt want to go near the pitt situation because of how bad it is atm.

Hurley’s wife seems to like New England is the biggest holdup.  If UConn can come close to Pitt, it’ll be tough. Interesting.  

Pitt fired a bad coach and offered its top target top 10 money.  They are doing everything correctly.  It doesn’t always play out.
