Fall Sports

So, how many think we will see a fall season in high school or college sports?? Heard that many college conferences are considering just doing just in league games. But if colleges remain online through the fall I’m not sure this will even happen.

Re: Kyle Silk to St. Vincent

I do agree that in hindsight. It seems like a lot of hoopla to just end up playing at a D3 school just down the road. Not saying it’s not an achievement to make it to the next level, but all at the expense of hanging teammates at 2 schools out to dry and paying tuition at Kiski

Re: Steelers Draft

Anthony McFarland Jr is a great pick. I loved it. In my opinion, a different style back that can immediately add a new offensive dimension. Dobbins will be a solid pro but he doesn't add a dimension to the offense that isn't somewhat available through Connor and Snell. McFarland Jr, does. What dime...

Steelers Draft

Can’t believe no one has brought this topic up yet. Thoughts? I like the Highsmith pick but why would they pass on Dobbins just to select a 5’8” back in the 4th? Makes no sense

So should smaller public schools in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia be excluded as well? They get to draw from a vastly larger area than even bg, Carroll, and McCourt.
Hence why those schools are 5A or 6A.....

Re: Holy Hoopers

Should the portage girls have been able to play up at 5a instead of at 2a? Wasn’t that unfair for Hollidaysburg? Why should such a small school have to play such a large school in district playoffs. Isn’t it sad that a AA feels more confident that a AAAAA school is more close to an equal opponent t...

Re: Holy Hoopers

So the fact that portage made it a close game and ended up losing is the problem. Got it. Yep, the bg girls were sure a heck of a problem when Bellwood won district and state titles the last couple of years. Now that bg won it’s a problem again. I know nobody will be happy until public and private ...

I don’t care how the PIAA handles its playoffs. If they want to go to a multiplier system or keep it how it is, that’s fine. But to read the 10 public schools in the LHAC are tired of dealing with Bishop McCort and Bishop Guilfoyle is very laughable.
So they have no reason to gripe?

Re: Holy Hoopers

Speaking for the bg games, if you watched them they weren’t foregone conclusions. They were great competitive games. Stop hating and making your snide comments about “universities”. It’s a tired old joke at this point. Great competitive games until Portage lost by 20...... The only thing getting ol...
