Re: An early look at the ICC in 2018
Very nice outlook so far! It's going to be interesting to see how teams like Tussey and Claysburg react to a new coach/system. I thought Coach Smith had a great atmosphere going down there before everything that went down. It's a shame. Coach Foor also had Claysburg football back on the map. Of cour...

Re: Pre-Season Favorites
I know there was a good amount of teams that got some scrimmages in the Monday before the big snow. The only team I had seen that got game(s) in was Bellwood and Tyrone. Bellwood took it 3-2. Had to still be a little sloppy/cold that day. Also Bald Eagle and Penns Valley got a game in. Other than th...

Re: Bell is at it again
I wish they'd just trade him for one of the top 2 picks and get Barkley. Would love to see a Penn Stater stay "home". We all know that can't happen though.

Re: Pre-Season Favorites
That's pretty good them being named to that honor. If the weather ever breaks, there will be 4-5 games a week for a lot of teams, so will get to see plenty of pitching depth from teams. I think we will also get to see those teams with 1-2 good starters show exactly how good they are.
Re: AAABA
One of my ex players plays there. I'm not sure he or any of the younger kids that I've watched have made much progress since being there. They won't have any success until they get better/more help.

Re: 2018 Baseball Season Predictions
Impressive opening series from the Bucs even though Detroit may or may not be the worst in the league this year. Some promising take aways from the series. Also, some not so promising take-aways. Division Champions AL East: New York Yankees AL Central: Cleveland Indians AL West: Houston Astros AL Wi...

Re: 2017 American Legion scores, news, questions, commentary, whatever.
Saints should be back to form with them back. Bedford and Claysburg on Wednesday. Who knows what will happen with pitching for both of them. Hernandez has been throwing for Paul Carpenter AAABA, so hasn't thrown but a couple games for Bedford. Hickey probably done until playoffs. They also have the ...

Somerset has played average most of the year, sometimes above average from what I've watched and read about them. How many teams are going to the playoffs? I've heard 4, 6 and also 8. haha I assume since Lilly and Portage are already in the D2 regional, that they won't be playing playoffs?

Re: 2017 American Legion scores, news, questions, commentary, whatever.
Manfred is right. I know 4 guys on the Lilly Adult team and they say that too. Lilly field wasn't the best the last couple times I was there either. Infield is very rough. Not as bad as others, but far from what it used to be. Plus, to host a regional, they want a field with a fence, not where it ca...

A lot of make up games already I see. If Forrest Hills and Central both win, St. Michael and Claysburg will be playing every day!! Wow. Glad to see that some locals are still alive though in the state playoffs.
