Re: Cross Cassidy wins State title

Just some info, IF he would come back to PA, it would not matter what school, he would be ineligible for the post season as a transfer who wrestled as a 10th grader. End of story. If it wasn't for athletic intent, he could wrestle in the regular season only.

Re: LHAC Wrestling Tournament

transferring from anywhere (in state or out of state) and coming back to a PIAA school after you've participated in your SOPH season constitutes post-season ineligibility the following season. So, if this wrestler comes back to ANY piaa school including back to Bedford, they will not be eligible for...

Re: SCA. Westinghouse

Westinghouse has the success points to be moved up. They are claiming they don't have the 3 transfers but I question that. Did they have at least 3 kids playing for them one of the past two years who played somewhere else previously? If so, they will be bumped up to AAA (from AA) based on the compet...

Re: 2023 LHAC Football

Being a JR or SR does NOT make you ineligible to compete unless Athletic Intent is claimed (sending school) and found to be true in a PIAA hearing if contested. The rule I believe you are alluding to is POST SEASON ELIGIBILITY. A JR or SR who competed in that sport the previous year at a previous sc...

Re: 2023 LHAC Football

At this point there is ZERO in the PIAA transfer portal on anyone, in any sport, transferring to Ridge.
When that happens, District 5 will take appropriate action based on sending school stance and facts surrounding the transfer as reported by both sending and receiving school.

Re: 2023 LHAC Football

Everett, District 5 DID handle it.

Kind of difficult to not approve a transfer when the sending school (Bedford) signs off that everything is legitimate

Re: LHAC releases its sections in HS sports

ICC realignment for non-football will be similar to what the LHAC did. 4 Divisions. 3 would've been nice but not easy to break it up that way geograpically and awkward when it comes to selecting 4 teams for league post season championships. NORTH- Curwensville, W.Branch, Mo Valley, Glendale, J.Valle...
