Re: United’s Kyle Silk moves to Ligonier Valley
Don’t forget he is a multi sport athlete. The transfer probably also locks up LV as the boys basketball champion in the Hertitage and puts them as the front runner for AAA as well.

Re: Central Coaching Job
Hearing Central opened all basketball coaching positions. Talented group of 6th through 10th grade coming up through the system and should be an attractive job (even though following Nevins could be tough). The saying goes that you always want to follow a loser and not a legend...…….but...…...if th...

Re: State Championship Thread
Boys side is much more effected for some reason. 10 of the 12 teams in the finals were either Catholic or Charter schools. 5 of the 6 classification were won by them. Moon was the only one to pull off a win.

Re: State Championship Thread
On their school website they are listed as a charter school so they wouldn’t be part of the public playoffs should one ever come to be.

Re: Reggie Nevins story
I see his point, but he also had played them twice already. They also played two sets of back to back games during the regular season and only lost one of those 4 games. It's just a whine. If Wayne Wade can still coach.... The point is it was for a district champsionhip. Regular season games are c...

Re: Flo wrestling sucks
Probably because they are trying to stream the PIAA championships and the big ten wrestling tournament at the same time. Has to be a ton of viewers on for those 2. Sucks that I can’t watch either of them like I am used to on my TV.

Re: State Basketball Attendance
Even though we are stuck in the middle of the state, I wish the PIAA would split football and basketball and put one in Pittsburgh and one in Philly each year then flip the next year. I think that would greatly help attendance.

Re: Thursday Scoreboard 2-28-19
Public schools are responsible to bus the students to whatever school they choose. So it a student lived in State College and wanted to attend Bishop McCort, State College would be responsible to get them there. Yes, it sounds crazy but it is true.

Re: Thursday Scoreboard 2-28-19
No one wants a participation trophy for everyone. I believe public schools just want a fair fight or for people to atleast acknowledge that most years it isn’t and here is why in my opinion. Either you are born a good athlete or not. Now good training and coaching can make a good athlete a great a...
