Re: Bedford- Ridge
The discrepancy in tackles can be explained by the difference in their offenses. I have not watched a ton of CR football this season, but if they do capitalize on big plays often that means their defense is on the field more...thus, higher tackles numbers because they defend more plays. In compariso...

Re: QBs returning kicks
Sometimes the QB is just that good at it that you can't afford to not have them to do it. My teammate in HS was our QB (3 year starter), returned punts and KO's all three years. Had over a dozen (don't remember the exact number) returns for TD's in his three years. He was just that good. Looking bac...

Re: Low Numbers
I am going to agree with crfball on this one. I really don't think 9th graders at varsity has that much to do with it. I grew up in eastern PA. Graduated 20 years ago from a large high school (AAAA under old system) in district 3. We regularly had 80+ kids on our varsity roster, grades 10-12. We sti...

Re: Small School Models of Consistency
Now, if you really want to narrow your research, figure out how many different head coaches those schools had in that same time span. I am willing to bet most of them have had 3 or less; NB, Portage, Bellwood and Windber are definitely 3 or less, not sure about the rest. Then once you have figured o...

John O'Korn
I am sure this has been discussed on here before, but I cannot find a thread that answers the question of why John O'Korn left Huntingdon after his sophomore season and went to Florida? I have read in a few news articles that his family "moved" to Florida, but that's all it really says. St...

Re: Pitt Stripe Out
Moldo----are you the troll with the green hair...moldy green hair? You are an A #1 troll with a capital T. Get a life. PSU is really good this year. They may be very average next year or multiple years following, but this year they are very good. Pitt is very average this year. Get over it. The worl...

Re: Pitt Stripe Out
You know, last Friday FH had a 41-0 lead at halftime over BC. When the 2nd half started, FH subs played the rest of the game, not scoring ANY points and giving up 7 to the Huskies. I'm sure Don Bailey would have liked a shut-out. What coach wouldn't? Now take Coach Franklin. He FREEZES the GSU kick...

Re: LHAC Football Forecast Week 1
Johnstown will have the athletes capable of beating BG. The question will be Johnstown's line play. BG's lineman will be very good again on both sides of the ball....
