Re: How about a discussion of teams that could have been great ?
What about the Benbow led Beford squad. Could they have made it to Hershey if not for the Rangers? Also the LV team led by Jackson Daughtery, losing him and Tutino in the last game always made me wonder? Also the Crookshank/ Chad Shilling team that got bounced by Rochester was special, but just ran...

I vote yes! Lol but not 7. 8 man at least. I prefer 9 man. Sounds weird but the 2 man difference would make a difference with 15 man rosters. Granted you can get that. the "swingman" WR that comes in as a lineman would be less drastic with both teams facing that. "8" man footbal...

Re: How about a discussion of teams that could have been great ?
Sort of different, and I may have mentioned them before. But while "great" just adding a great "Bridesmaid" team(s) that just came around when All county Carrol was humming. If I am not mistaken there were like 3 or 4 10 win vs. 9-1/10-0 teams that squared off. But the Austin, Hi...

Re: Why does Alliquipa choose to play up?
Initially, it was to maintain rivals and cut down on travel. Most of the Beaver county schools were always AA/AAA and the WPIAL forces teams to play in conferences by classification, not geography. Most of their natural rivals are just bigger than single-A. Also because they're good and A would be ...

Re: Heritage Preseason Discussion 2016
I think the Wolves are a good fit, They have improved over the years in the WPIAL...I think they are a "poor mans" version of Homer Center, even down to the black uni's, but without the "game breaker" backs. Will probably be middle road beating, out toughing 4 yards and a cloud o...

Re: Westpac 2016 - Way too early preview
I give myself some credit, lol...I posted this on another sportsboard in regards to Berlin: "8. 72 Undecided ...They keep rolling lol, But seriously did they try for a field goal? I wish I documented it, While I thought the Bears would win States I thought the game would be close due to the Bea...

Re: Will District 6 eventually welcome Leechburg and Apollo Ridge?
I thought when this came up a few years ago Leechburg should have leaped at the chance. Their reactions were pretty much the same as West Shamokin as far as " competition level" , winter sport distance, etc...I thought then while the Heritage has some teams that will put a hurtin on them, ...

Re: Altoona and Hollidaysburg
With West Shamokin exiting D7 Maybe Indiana (history in D6) can be enticed to leave for D6m or Armstrongs other school...but with Indianas recent basketball success they probably are more inclined to stay, and Historical Ford City/kittaning WPIAL ties they stay also. Better fits than State College m...
