Re: It's Curt Flood's Fault

I interview a lot of high school football recruits for work and one question I always ask is: What are you looking for in a school? The answers are actually very interesting and they can range in a lot of different directions. Here are some examples I've encountered through the years. - A good relat...

Re: It's Curt Flood's Fault

Transfers have always been part of college athletics, it's higher profile transfers that have certainly exploited the loopholes and rubbed people the wrong way like the Justin Fields of the world. Part of the problem is the recruiting process itself. Coaches bend over backwards to recruit kids, they...

Re: It's Curt Flood's Fault

I don’t have a problem with the transfers really. It’s basically just another form of recruiting at this point, the can of worms has been opened and we can’t really go back now. As long as coaches can jump from job to job without penalty it’s kind of hard to go back and penalize the athletes for wan...

Re: State Champs

Ohio just cancelled all winter sports. Can’t imagine PA will be too far behind. It’s just not going to happen.

Re: Your school's ultimate QB-RB-WR trio

Historically for McCort, I'd throw in John Stofa and Pete Duranko, of course.

But for a more modern look:

QB: Jordan DeFrances or Joe Arcurio
RB: Eric Lowry, Josh Seidel, or Anthony Walters
WR: Matt Varga

Re: Your school's starting 5

I'll give it a shot with McCort:

C: Mike Cruz
F: Nemo Trexler
F: Pete O'Connor
G: Jerqual Wilson
G: Matt Varga

Struggled with the guards a bit, but the forwards were pretty easy to pick.

Your school's starting 5

Let's make this one a little more timely, and say from the year 2000 and on. If you could build a team from your school, who would be the starting 5?

Your school's ultimate QB-RB-WR trio

If you could build your high school's all-time starting offense with a Quarterback, Running Back, and a Wide Receiver. Who would it be?
