Holy Hoopers

What's still amazing to me, at least in BC's case this year is that the boys were just over .500 in the LHAC and the girls were below .500 yet they still make the playoffs. One, it shows how competitive the LHAC actually is and two, if you aren't over .500 in your conference, you shouldn't be eligib...

Re: Boys Basketball Playoffs Week One

Schools with 5,6,7 wins on the season, have absolutely no business being in a playoff, or hope of winning, against top seeded teams. Agreed, district playoffs have become a joke. Any team with a losing record in conference play should be ineligible for districts. Sadly this won't happen and we cont...

New Somerset Coach

I wonder if Somerset will lead the conference in personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties this year?

James Franklin might be done?

@abp - Haters are going to hate no matter what. I agree totally of zero tolerance for hazing, but it seems this kid was a problem from day one, and as you said it has already been investigated by multiple agencies not affiliated with PSU.

Re: Steelers discussion

I am guessing that the NFL will be closely watching the rematch at Heinz Field in a few weeks looking for any payback by the Steelers. Also, I am sure that Steelers Nation will be very welcoming to the Browns for that game.   ;)

Re: Steelers discussion

After last night's brawl, Garrett should be suspended for a minimum of the rest of the season. That was flat out assault.

Steelers discussion

New England looks to be the only power in the AFC, while several teams seem dominant in the NFC - SF, New Orleans & Green Bay. If, and its a BIG if, the Steelers can hang around they may be in contention for a WC, which is hard to believe!!

LHAC Week Five

BIG problems on Osborne Street. Dissension in the ranks. I won't get into specifics here, but let's just say it is not a big, happy family down there. In addition, they are fast gaining a reputation as a the dirtiest team in the LHAC - they have to lead the league in personal fouls. I wouldn't be su...

Re: Is it time for 8 man football in PA?

30 years ago teams ran the ball almost exclusively , games ended much earlier and with fewer plays.  We regularly see 3 hour games now. With heavily favored passing attacks. I remember in school 20+ years ago my school might be lucky to even attempt one pass and games regularly were over in under tw...
