Re: LAUREL VALLEY
once a runner, They are shutting down Laurel Valley which is the school which was most recently remodeled. Cyberschooling will keep their children at home and the tax increase will hurt the Mellonites much worse than it will hurt the Laurel folks because the difference in property values. pitt75, La...

Re: Bishop McCort vs Clariton A Title Game
Go Clairton! We don't need another state championship with an asterik beside the winner's name!

Re: LAUREL VALLEY
This topic has been quiet since the election. I would love to hear how everybody feels since the Laurel parents have decided to cyberschool their children. At least 300 parents have decided to do so. At $9,000 per student can you say tax raise? This whole issue could have been solved if a new school...

Re: McCort vs Millersburg
If it was Bellwood playing Millersburg I would be rooting for the Devils. However it is one of the scools from the Evil Empire..BM, BC and BG. So the representative from District 6 A is bogus. Go Millersburg!

Re: Bailey's huge milestone slighted by asinine Democrat
Coach Bailey definitely deserved his kudos! However, don't think that United's victory wasn't important. United High School is closer to the Tribune Democrat headquarters than Forest Hills. In fact one of the paper's featured witers graduated from United and lives in Laurel Valley. People don't real...

Re: LV's last game?
I think the plan is for them to stay in the Heritage, which will have to pick up a school. Also the Blairsville/Saltsburg district is looking to have one football team for 2011 which would mean the Heritage would have to pick up another team. Blacklick Valley and Cambria Heights would be the logical...

Re: LV's last game?
sportsfan79,
The new LV school could definitely compete in the LHAC. By the way LV lost 30 - 6 to BM which was comparable to the other schools in the LHAC and the Rams had three losses to Heritage schools.

Re: FRIDAY NIGHT SCORES
There were more fans from LV at the game supporting the Lions than there were BG fans. What a shame for their community. OOps I forgot, the Mauraders don't have a community.
