Re: Chadbourn To Return
Let him go through warmups, let him dress with his team mates. But as far as playing I agree the risk out weighs the benefit At first glance it seems like a great idea to let him dress, but his teammates, the fans, the coaches would so much like to see him cap his senior year with a big game that ...

Re: Chadbourn To Return
At this point, after a year without a football game, with no contact, can he possibly be more effective than Barrish, Callahan, or his other teammates? He's such a hard-working kid and no one doubts the emotional boost that his return would give his team. Let's hope he and his doctor/parents/coaches...

Re: Glendale head football coach
.....and to use BG to further make your case: assuming that there are 300 students at BG, and the team roster is 50 (plus or minus), that means that fully 1/3 of the boys in the school are playing football. That's what I call buy-in, and as you say, that starts with the coach.

BG vs. Clairton Rematch?
I don't want to jinx either team, but the single A bracket could be one of the most interesting matchups on championship weekend. The longest winning streak in the state vs. a perennial power boasting a one-man highlight reel. I be shocked if the Marauders don't make it, but how about the Bears? ...

Re: Bishop Guilfoyle vs Homer Center
The last BG - HC district title game was a classic. I wouldn't look for HC to be in position to capitalize on a late-game BG meltdown this time around. This one should be decided midway through the 3rd quarter. 35-6 BG at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Re: Friday Scores 11/18
McGeary and Ramsey were at AASD until 9th and 8th grade respectively. Most of the bellyaching about Catholic schools relates to athletes coming from beyond district geographical boundaries, so these two cases shouldn't upset anyone. These guys are obviously BIG contributors on the line, but it wou...
Re: Matchups
Half of those teams would be playing the class below them. That might be a hard sell.

Re: D6 Returners
BG will lose some key players next year. Irwin, Trybus, Frederick, McGeary, Yahner. Expect a dropoff. They'll still be tough in the regular season, but without that core a deep run is far less likely, and the crazy win streak won't last through next season. In 2018 the talent bubble will have passed.
