Sports999....They changed it for this year..."A-AA" used to go together as small school. As of this year Associated Press is dividing it up into 4 categories. Thus my point about Everett is valid I think.

Wait a minute...something doesn't make sense...Bedford has 2 nominees, CR has 3, Central has 2 and all at the tougher "AA" level. Everett at "A" has None?????? Not saying anyone is undeserving that was nominated but by "A" standards Everett had a much more successful se...

B.Falls is usually tough...J-town's visit to Central's Ritchey's Dairy Arena may be there toughtest road trip of the year. Not that C.Cambria or other LHAC teams in particular might not be better but when their pretty good (and Central is very decent) that is a tough place to win. Too early to tell ...

The one thing computers don't look at it is momentum...who is on the rise and who is on the fall. At the end of the season Michigan and Kansas State were two teams on the rise, Okie fell hard, and USC and LSU lost mid-season and hung in and one their conferences. Humans (Polls) look at momentum and ...

White Shoes: #1 schedules are not made 10 yrs. in advance. At the college level they are made 2-4 years in advance, there are some occassional "long range" agreements between inter sectional opponents but schedules arent' completed as far in advance as HS schedules in many cases. My next p...

For what it's worth, and I don't follow PSU, I don't think playing A.Scott more would have made a bit of difference in their season. He would have been running behind the same line. At the very most, perhaps could have made a difference in one game and I doubt even that. Again, not a PSU fan as I've...

You have your theory, I have mine....time will tell. Why only 1 crossover game in a 14 team superconference? Interested in why you think that's a maximum. I don't see it that way at all, it would only give teams 7 league games (which would please a ND in the Big 10 but probably not anyone else). At ...

au contraire Sports999 I think ND would be quicker to enter the Big 10 with "3" additional teams rather than being the loner for the following reason. ND covets "flexibility" in scheduling. With two 7 team divisions the Big 10 could probably get away with ND playing an "intr...

Big East Football

First of all, the Big East Conference wasn't that bad this year. Miami, Pitt, VaTech, and WVU are all bona fide top 25-30 programs, Syracuse was down but still competitive and BC is Bowl bound. Pitt vs Va and WVU vs Md. games should give a good "gauge" of any Big East vs ACC talk. The futu...

Blairsville over Homer Center for the second time already this season last night 60-49 after also beating the Wildcats in the Tip-Off tourney finals. Blairsville defeated Penn Cambria in the tip-off semifinals. It appears the Bobcats, despite their youth, may be "the team" in the Heritage....
