Re: 2020 LV schedule....

The original LHAC was established in 1989 with Richland, Westmont, Johnstown Vo-Tech, Forest Hills, Central Cambria, Penn Cambria, Cambria Heights, Northern Cambria, Somerset and Ligonier Valley as its member schools. Bedford and Chestnut Ridge were added for football only at some point. Northern C...

Re: 2020 LV schedule....

Central likely left because they realized they weren't a good fit. The question with them is why they joined in the first place. Ligonier Valley, Chestnut Ridge, Northern Cambria and now Cambria Heights just felt they couldn't compete. Each put its tail between its legs and fled to greener pastures...

Re: 2020 LV schedule....

Wasn't Central-Martinsburg once part of the LHAC. So let me get this straight, LV Central-Martinsburg (If I am remembering they were in at one point? Correct?) and now, Cambria Heights Are the most recent teams to leave, what was their reasoning? I heard so many rumors over the years, just wanna get...

Re: 2020 LV schedule....

What was the feelings of the Ligonier community? Was this a community "Yay!" or was this driven by certain members? Just curious to what the community and kids are saying? Just asking because I know some communities during conference changes were kicking and screaming "no" but ce...

Re: 2020 LV schedule....

The WPIAL's scheduling and conference alignment process is pretty bad. Some want District 6 to adopt it though. I just think there is some corruption to some of the scheduling. Some conferences have made it really tough on others and forced teams out. Some schools should be in other conferences, et...

Re: 2020 LV schedule....

Does anyone know if the conferences have every considered contracts with its members? For instance the LHAC and its members agree to a 5 year contract at $25,000 a year buyout. So if a school wanted to jump ship on the conference after year 1. They would owe the LHAC $100,000 to buyout of the confe...

Re: Cambria Heights to Heritage

I think we could have divisions over conferences. Back 10-15 years ago there was a proposed division system to D6 I feel was a gigantic miss to not do. Conferences are used to help scheduling out and convenience but the wide range of schools in some conferences just is not okay. We gotta get back t...
