I could possibly see a problem if they were moving to Boswell or Windber but not Berlin which is a significant distance from Jerome. What is the problem here?

Forfeit in the AAABA League
Delweld's manager cites injuries and a thin pitching staff as the reason to not play its final game. "The game meant nothing to us. In the end, having two days off heading into the playoffs was more important to us. We acted in the best interest of our team. AAABA director Denny Altimore wasn't...

Re: Hollern stepping down.
While the money at public schools for teachers may be better than Bishop McCort's the money available to spend to advertise for openings for head basketball coach and athletic director must be more in favor of Bishop McCort than public schools.

Re: Are your numbers down for football?
First of all I think the video game addiction thing is false. I think the people most addicted to video games have been out of school for several years. Yes, at some point it is time to grow up. I'm still waiting for the first fatal heart attack on the field during one of these ...

Re: Your opinion please
Parents do pay 100s of dollars for their primadonnas to be on these traveling teams. Being on the high school team doesn't cost a dime.

Your opinion please
Disclaimer: I know the sport I'm discussing is girls softball and the team in question is a district 7 school and that I am posting in baseball under district 5 & 6 but the topic is AAU or travel teams vs your high school team. Your team is playing in the state playoffs and you skip a game becau...

Re: 2013 Johnstown Colt Baseball
Bum, the good old days are gone by the ways of soccer, AAU basketball, and summer hockey leagues. There are a lot less kids playing baseball. Now, 8 year old have to travel all over the county to play games. Plus there are a lot less trees now than 50 years ago. :) As for little leagues, the adults...
