Re: Fetzer Stepping Down at Penn Cambria

You're right.

I expect more from the coach/educator.

Re: Fetzer Stepping Down at Penn Cambria

Would we be wishing a player who quit on his team at this point in the season the best?

Re: CV's numbers

I think Coach Redman is doing a great job with what he has, some very young athletes in skilled positions. A freshman tailback? That is tough but the kid does well and is undersized, he will be one to watch in the future. I agree. The wins have been entertaining and Redman appears to be a good guy....

Re: CV's numbers

Redman's challenge will be to attract more players to his team. What happened last Saturday only makes that challenge more difficult. My hope is his players stay healthy. I don't expect more success than they have achieved this season anytime soon.

CV's numbers

I visited the Tribune Democrat's Varsity Club this morning and read an entry titled Blue Jay Way. Coach Winston Redman was quoted as saying "next year, we'll have 30-35 kids. Probably 35. This year we cleaned house. A lot of kids just wanted to wear the uniform but not be part of the football e...

Re: Ligonier Valley Consolidation Success Story

Should we also call out parents for letting their ninth graders play? How about smallish tenth graders? How about oversized eleventh graders? Halftime Adjustments

Ask for a new topic, get a new topic!

Is football really as easy as it sounds? If you're losing at halftime can you really use the five minutes or so to change your gameplan and cruise to victory in the second half? No one should ever lose if the proper adjustments are made!

Discuss.

Ah, yes, those easy to make adjustments at halftime. If everyone made them, no one would ever lose.

Re: BG

Are kids in wheelchairs, handicapped students, special education students counted toward the total numbers of those "available" for athletics? Probably. I would think the number of physically disabled students is insignificant and not counting them could allow numbers to be manipulated a ...
