Konjo Reviews: The Greatest Showman

Post by konjo78 »

So the next movie I saw this week was the strong word of mouth musical The Greatest Showman. This movie is filled with a lot of quality actors being lead by Hugh Jackman and Michelle Williams is about P.T. Barnum and how his circus/life came about. While I enjoyed this movie and really commend it for sticking with a modern music style throughout I can't help but feel personally there were a lot of missed opportunities. Throughout it felt like it couldn't just focus on one central issue but instead floated multiple story lines throughout. This really ended up making me wonder what this movie could of been if it was directed and made better with a stronger goal in mind.

This would be one I personally recommend waiting for redbox or netflix/hbo.

Score: 6.5/10
