LHAC realignment

Post by TheAnalyst »

If I read the Bedford Gazette correctly, it was stated that Bedford and BC are switching sections in the LHAC. If this is going to be the case, I'm disappointed with the fact that we will not be playing FH, CC, and PC each year. Was anyone else aware of this or did I misread it?

Is BC tired of getting throttled by McCort each year? Welcome Bedford!

I doubt BC will be playing football much longer.

I've read several posts that have referenced BC as a poor team and doomed for extinction. Wasn't it just three seasons ago they were deep in the playoffs? Looking over the past D6 winners/runners-up I see Bc's name listed on a 10 year run excluding the past few seasons.
Isn it just BC's turn in the cycle to be down and take their lumps like men?
What am I missing here??

To probe further...I don't think BC will be a school much longer. I think they are financially in dire straits.

Yeah there are some real issues at BC that go far beyond their football team. Even if they continue to be a school, I can see them dropping most or all of extra-curricular activities very, very soon.

Just a year ago BC received a HUGE sum of money from a donor. Since the Diocese is no longer financially controlling Catholic High Schools they now operate themselves. I would imagine with BC's alumni that they have financial backing.
What makes you think they are in dire straits? Specifically their sports programs??

I agree with Muddle, in fact BC's Boys Basketball Teams have been in the District 6A Championship Game the past two seasons. It is BC's turn to take the cyclical lumps that everyone else takes.

Well Pudge I know one thing. It is hard to get players to go to your school when your programs are going down the drain. In an earlier post I mentioned the basketball program but they are going to be in for a long hoops season this year.
