Post by HSfan »

Week 7
Last week 5-0 and 26-4 ytd

Blairsville (3-3) 34
Saltsburg (1-5) 14

Blairsville RB Deion Robinson had 168 yd with 71 and 73 TD runs against Penns Manor.
Saltsburg allows 253 y/g rushing and throw in the Bobcats's passing attack, 172 y/g, and this score could be worse. Saltsburg RB Brody Bieda had 105 yd vs Ligonier Valley and should do damage to a some what weak run defense.

Northern Cmbria (4-2) 27
Marion Center (2-4) 12

Northern Cambria came close ar Berlin last week losing 21-19, and out rushed a good Berlin running team 212 yd to 89. MC won 12-6 at Purchase Line last week and also played well in the running game, 193 yd to 68.

Purchase Line (0-6) 27
United (0-6) 13

In points for and against PL is 45 to 183 and United is 13 to 250, thus a +99 edge for the Red Dragons. PL also is ahead in rushing y/g 188 to 97.

Conemaugh Township (2-4) 14
Homer-Center (5-1) 21

Conemaugh Township is 2-4 with losses to four good WPAC teams, Berlin 6-0, Shade 3-3, Blacklick Valley 4-2 and Windber 5-1. The Indians have a balanced attack, 156 y/g rushing and 99 y/g passing. H-C also has a somewhat balanced attack, 228 y/g rushing and 86 y/g passing.

Heritage Game of the Year
Ligonier Valley (6-0) 35
Penns Manor (5-1) 24

This is the game both teams have been waiting to play. The offenses may open up passing more with two good QB's;
LV Scott Fennell 22-43-440-1 with 6 TD's and a 179 rating
PM Danny Ferens 27-47-373-1 with 5 TD's and a 153 rating.
Also, both teams should firer their big guns rushing more often than they have;
LV Ryan Torrance 91-886 18 TD
Connor Maust 48-614- 5 TD

PM Danny Ferens 79-1101 18 TD
Cody Bytner 33-355 4 TD
Chris Henderson 35-251 5 TD

Byter had been out most of the year with an injury. LV plays better run defense 37 y/g vs 84 y/g and is ahead in points for minus points against 266 to 67.

All games Friday 7 PM.

Heritage picked a great week to have LV and PM. No big matches that really will challenge anyone. I think this is heritage's chance to showcase their football to district 6. I expect the most physical game on friday in kenwood. Huge crowd. Great food. I expect a huge upset, except if you are beitel, and a penns manor 37-35 win

Definitely not a showcase for AA.... Beiter better win here because they don't have a prayer in the playoffs... Pm will need to play tougher d and stay healthy through out the game, that combined with execution they will be in position to possibly win. If they come alive like they did last year it could happen, Should be a good one over in Kenwood

what an interesting week for the heritage. question how do they decide tie breakers for conference play? is it by normal record if we have a three or four way tie? i mean we do have 4 teams with one loss in conference play now

If HC wins out they will win it. If pm wins and lv beats nc, pm wins. If nc beats lv they win, If lv wins out and pm looses lv wins, I think thats how it works

confernce games only of course for champion, tie braker is head to head, if there is a three way tie with all the schools 1-1 againist each other there would be tri-champs.
