In the case of State High, they have 11 on the field and 87 on the sideline. That is not an exaggeration. They have 98 on the varsity roster.

I'll give you an example. Jeannette and Penn Trafford was a game played every year which Jeannette dominated. But as the PT district grew to large AAA and then AAAA it became uncompetive in the other direction and the series was stopped. Don't underestimate the wide gap between A and AAAA

I honestly believe Clairton would easily beat any team in this area..Look at the Division 1 players they are producing..That was a back up running back last night averaging over 20 yards a carry...Its a whole team of speed..not 2 or 3 guys a whole team...

They are very good. I know this might start some controversy but I don't see them winning the WPIAL. North Catholic matches up well versus the fast paced offense of Clairton. I just don't see how people just are forgetting the defending STATE champs. Maybe people forgot they are riding a 22 game winning streak if I'm not mistaken.

I don't think anyone is forgetting the DEFENDING WPIAL champion North Catholic. That will be a good game. The question was how would teams around here stack up compared to them. My opinion would be they would destroy any (AAAA included) D6 team. You can say State College has 98 players, but only 11 are on the field. Clairton dresses as few as 23. In reality, how many backups, rotation players, and subs do you actually need in high school? I'm guessing you can get away with 17 or 18. I don't think it would be much of a game.
