Mount Union Coach

I hear there is a new coach in Mount Union.  Is that why the paper didn't have any coaches listed?

I don't know what you consider new, Kirk Stevens has been there since the spring.

Kirk Stevens is out as head coach after Monday's school board meeting. David Smith is the new interim coach. No reason was given in the school board report. Practice was cancelled yesterday and the team was slated to start today.

i was informed from a school board member that Mr. Stevens showed up at last nights meeting with an attorney, and was relieved of his head coaching position. To show up with an attorney can not be a good sign.

Huntingdon county DA Dave Smith was on the coaching staff last year, but this is a David Smith from Tyrone. I assume it's the one who coached junior high for Tyrone last year?

sorry, but I wasn't trying to be a smart ****. I don't live in Mt. Union. Nobody outside that area knew. so..
