Re: District 6 A Playoff Thread
I did not see if they were doing that, that'd be interesting. But in the past I don't recall that happening. I think they won't because the district would probably give the higher seeds the advantage of going to scout their next opponent.
Re: District 6 A Playoff Thread
Is round one really necessary?
Eliminating it would shorten the season.

But then D6 couldn't have an automatic state semi-final bidknowitall wrote:Is round one really necessary?

Re: District 6 A Playoff Thread
They do not reseed after round 1. 5-12 winner Plays Northern Cambria
6-11 winner Plays Portage
7-10 winner Plays Homer Center
8-9 Winner plays BG
The PIAA gave District 6 A four weeks of brackets for their playoffs. District 6 had nothing to do with it. They could of eliminated the bye week and had 16 teams but that would of not been a good thing.

Re: District 6 A Playoff Thread
I've thought 12 was a bit too many all along, it's been 8 the past few seasons and Class A had more schools than it does now. If three teams are below .500, it's probably a few too many.
Re: District 6 A Playoff Thread
First round, I'll pick all home teams EXCEPT for Blairsville. I'm taking the Claysburg upset.Crimson's Ghost wrote:Byes

Re: District 6 A Playoff Thread
Interesting the gap between Homer Center and BG,. Homer is a good A team and have very little chance of an upset,

Re: District 6 A Playoff Thread
I really think Clairton is the only A team in Pennsylvania that could beat BG.
