This problem was caused by expanding to 6 (everyone gets a trophy) classes.

I love washington and idahos football structure.
They usually organize smaller 7 team conferences of schools all in the same class, and then allow schools to schedule 2 or 3 non conference game.
They dont play the whole district idea. Once playoffs start they start for everyone.

That's the best way to make it work, but WPIAL will throw a tantrum and leave.konjo78 wrote:I love washington and idahos football structure.

Virginia in each of six classes has two regions of four conferences each. Regular season can be scheduled by mixed class districts.
Bottom line is they have to do a better job of incorporating these isolated schools. Hollidaysburg, Central Mountain, and the Pgh school (University?) should play though District 10.

PIAA shouldn't let the WPIAL dictate the entire state. If they want to leave...let them. Would it be long before individual schools departed the WPIAL for PIAA?Birda wrote:That's the best way to make it work, but WPIAL will throw a tantrum and leave.konjo78 wrote:I love washington and idahos football structure.
