Won't they lose money on a gate for a Thursday game?

There is no school on Friday.

Playing on a Thursday also guaranteed use of a facility like Windber, Somerset, or Bedford.  Even if those teams aren't at home, if they are playing on the road on a Friday night it is difficult to use their field because of help, etc.  I think each of these reasons impacted the decision.  D10-A has played all their playoff games on Thursday nights.

I am not understanding how having school impacts holding a playoff game? There have been playoff games being played on Saturdays for years in many sports (not just football).... obviously, there is no school on Saturday.

I am not being argumentative or trying to stir up trouble. Just asking for clarification. Thanks!
