Class AAA State Title Thread: Beaver Falls vs. Middletown

Beaver Falls knocked off D6 champ, Central 14-7 to advance to their first state title in school history.  Somewhat surprising Beaver Falls has never made it this far for the amount of talent they usually produce.  The Tigers feature a massive defensive line and four-star Michigan commit Donovan Jeter is the most notable player there. Malik Shepherd is one of their better weapons, and he is receiving D1 attention as a junior. 
I don't know much about District 3 champ Middletown. They aren't a usual name coming from that area, but they are 14-0 and have only played one close game all year.  They have been rolling through the playoffs with ease.


Any thoughts on this game?

Middletown has 2 backs each over 1300 yds rushing plus QB has thrown for 2000 yds 20 TDs vs 4 ints. Defense is underrated allowing average 11 points per game. Can put points on the board in a hurry and certainly not one dimensional on offense. lot of offensive weapons so hard to key just one and even harder to key on all of them. Should be a very good game as i think Beaver Falls defense will be a huge test for Middletown

Middletown hit the sweet spot in the reclassification. In the four-class system they were one of the smallest AAA schools, in the six-class system they're one of the largest.

I think Middleton wins by three TDs. I'm just unsure how good this BF team is, and I don't think WPIAL AAA was that good.

The line of Beaver Falls is tough, but I was really impressed with their middle linebacker #10 against Central. They should do well in a close game, but their passing was suspect against Friday. They would much rather pound the rock.

I would expect Middletown to favor the pass in this game being that Beaver Falls has a massive D-line. They need to stay away from Jeter and that very talented defensive line.

That's what makes Middletown so dangerous this year they have 3500 yds on the ground and then over 2000 yds in the air. Not one dimensional nor just 1 standout player truly a team efforr.
