PA Football Writers 2A, 4A, 6A All State teams
Re: PA Football Writers 2A, 4A, 6A All State teams
These list are always fun because you can always find holes on them. I do appreciate the time that goes into compiling them, though. I don't understand why there are so many Qb's. I can see two, but four opens up a discussion to the selection. Collin Smith, statistically, is the All-State QB for AA. Glad to see him on the list and IMO he is it for AA. Some of the other selections are not in the top 10 in a few categories on MaxPreps.

Talked to person affiliated with Jtown today and the word that is going around down there is Xree's decommit to Pitt cost him the support of the Pittsburgh sports writers

Generally Pittsburgh people don't think highly of District Six football anyway.

this is false. Had nothing to do with it. As I said before, the vote was very close.youngbuck wrote:Talked to person affiliated with Jtown today and the word that is going around down there is Xree's decommit to Pitt cost him the support of the Pittsburgh sports writers

I would likely believe it to be false as well. Most of the Pittsburgh sports writers are PSU guys, so I don't they'd hold it against Exree for going to WVU.

If it's on the internet, it must be true.

This seems like a logical reason to me, not that anyone would admit to it. BillMurray has said twice it was close , but close based on what?? It couldn't be stats because you just need to look and compare the different players . So I'm just wondering what the criteria was then??youngbuck wrote:Talked to person affiliated with Jtown today and the word that is going around down there is Xree's decommit to Pitt cost him the support of the Pittsburgh sports writers

Plus the local papers/blogs/TV have plenty of WVU coverage too.Crimson's Ghost wrote:I would likely believe it to be false as well. Most of the Pittsburgh sports writers are PSU guys, so I don't they'd hold it against Exree for going to WVU.

it was close based on a couple more people voted for someone else...that's it. We don't base our votes on silly stuff like de-committing from a school..not sure you guys know how the all state teams are created? I can assure you there wasn't a group of people who got together and said "oh, he left Pitt, lets not vote for him". Simple fact is, he did not make the team.
