Interesting number crunching

Post by CoffinCorner »

Luke Bennett from Central Cambria has 24 receptions for 356 yds.
This puts him behind only about 11 players from last year based off of the end of the year totals.  And that is from the entire season of 2016.
PIAA record is 122 for Kevin Gulyas in 2011 from Allentown Central Catholic
Could be interesting going forward.

11 players? Do you mean local?

Bennett is a very good WR but to many times they try to force the ball into him. Somerset in the fourth and Bedford throughout the game would play corner underneath and a safety over top. Results Somerset had 2 interceptions (1 for td) and Bedford had a INT with 2 minutes left in 4th qt CC down by 8.  They need to find a running game and use other receivers.  CC has a speedy WR #10 that had 4 catches 130yds for 3tds vs Bedford and #2 is a really good athlete.   The stats are great but CC is 0-2.  Also stop the run!!

Why can't anyone comment on here without someone else blasting them? Fact is you play to win the game.  And Central Cambria has not won yet.  Not opinions.  I just saw how many receptions Bennett had and was impressed with the number, hoped that it would just start some conversation on bere.

Bezek is also on pace to break most of the passing records at CC. He broke one Friday with most passing yards in a game.
