Re: D6 Playoff Standings (Week 8)
Now we are getting to a place to speculate some Playoff scenarios, this past week was a big one for lots of teams across the classifications.
Re: D6 Playoff Standings (Week 8)
Looks like Ligonier is a virtual lock for first. Bellwood at best can be tied after this coming week. So unless the Westpac surprises everyone and wins probably 8 out of 10. Ligonier will keep first.

Re: D6 Playoff Standings (Week 8)
In AAA, Central and Juniata should flip when Huntingdon beats them this week, which would mean they would get a second shot at Huntingdon in the second round. FH plays Bedford in the last week, that would knock out Bedford and open the door for Tyrone to get in as the six seed.

Re: D6 Playoff Standings (Week 8)
Could Ferndale give BG a game with their ability to throw the ball? This helped FH, not that Ferndale and FH are on the same level, but seemed like a way to attack BG.

Probably not . Wasn't that Central Cambria's strength?CoffinCorner wrote:Could Ferndale give BG a game with their ability to throw the ball? This helped FH, not that Ferndale and FH are on the same level, but seemed like a way to attack BG.
Re: D6 Playoff Standings (Week 8)
No, Central Cambria has pretty decent passing game, probably better than Ferndale, BG shut them down with 4 picks, Ferndale couldn't stop BG either, BG would win by at least 35.CoffinCorner wrote:Could Ferndale give BG a game with their ability to throw the ball? Kinsey would face pressure like he hasn't seen before and I would not expect them to be able to run against BG's front.CoffinCorner wrote:Could Ferndale give BG a game with their ability to throw the ball? You all may think I'm crazy, but I think BG/HC in the championship game is close to a coin toss. HC had a nice game plan last year in the district championship game, but did not have the horses to last 48 minutes. I think they have progressed nicely from last year and are very balanced on both sides of the ball. That will be a great game if neither is upset along the way. I do think BG would win, but it would be far from the 52-6 game last year.

I thought Bellwood could pass them based on Power Points. No?Aiks19 wrote:Looks like Ligonier is a virtual lock for first. Bellwood at best can be tied after this coming week. So unless the Westpac surprises everyone and wins probably 8 out of 10. Ligonier will keep first.
Re: D6 Playoff Standings (Week 8)
If Forest Hills could not beat BG this year, Homer for sure is not. I would expect a 28 or 35 point victory for BG again this year.
