First week is always the most difficult to project and we can almost be certain there is a surprise or two in store.
Tyrone 22 Bellwood 20 in a barn burner
Huntingdon 48 Mount Union 6
Philipsburg 14 West Branch 13  giving the nod to the home team in another tight Mountain vs ICC matchup
Central 36 Northern Bedford 20  NB competitive with Central till depth takes its toll
Juniata Valley 41 Everett 6  JV should be a contender for the top, Everett is a contender for the bottom
Glendale 28 Williamsburg 8  Glendale with a large group of returnees gets a good start to their season
Tussey Mt. 28 Claysburg 26  UPSET of the WEEK  TM gets home win in battle of two new coaches.  I may be putting too much stock in Tussey's outstanding scrimmage performance but you know there is gonna be one surprise this week and this is my pick!
GAME OF THE WEEK
Southern Huntingdon vs Mo Valley - SH appears poised to make a run at the league title while Mo Valley looks like they may head up the middle group of teams in the league.  The fact that this is the opener and at Mo Valley makes it a very dangerous spot for Southern.  I'm gonna go with the Rockets but not before a major scare.  SH 27 Mo Valley 22

Game #8 is actually Central @ NBC.....won't change anyone's predictions but I did not want anyone to be on the wrong end of the Cove when 7 pm Friday rolled around.

Aiks to have heartache.   Bellwood is soft up front according to my sources.    Possibly 3 in the loss column.

Tyrone    29-16
Huntingdon  48-14
Juniata Valley  40-15     This is the team.
Glendale 27-15
Claysburg  29-8
SH  27-24
West Branch  15-14
Central  30-15

lol . No heartache here. I no longer have a horse in the race. I know with graduation and off the field injuries, o-line is a huge question mark. I'm confident they will figure it out.

You seem pretty high on JV. Some inside info to share?? I have read they will be pretty good but you seem super high. Not saying you're wrong ..just wondering what you are basing it on.

What, you want someone to actually know something about football?  That is crazy.  It is much cooler to just post a bunch of random numbers instead of actually discussing teams, matchups, coaching field conditions etc.  Some people even brag that they have been doing it for ten years.
