I agree with the guy above. I think people are falling asleep on JV due to a slow start. The Bellwood game was closer than the score looked at least for a half until some things snowballed on them. I think by years end they will pull it together and be one of the top teams in the Class A playoffs. I will go against the grain here and say they pull off the upset in Orby this week but it will be a close one...

Mount Union was without Dodd (shoulder surgery, out for the season), Rhodes (foot injury, was in a boot Friday), and Tustin (concussion) on Friday.

We only have 9 seniors on the roster, so we're really young this year with many freshman and sophomores getting significant playing time. Better times are ahead though, a lot of talent coming through the system at the lower levels.

JV does have the talent. Bellwood wore them down on both sides of the ball. I see Southern doing the same thing. JV needs to stay close in the first half . Otherwise Southern will keep pound wing the ball much like Bellwood did.

Trenches and depth are killing JV.

One of the most balanced seasons in recent memory. Even at 0-5, Mount Union has been very competitive with everyone they've played aside from Tussey Mountain.
