Finish this statement??

Post by youngbuck »

In light of the daily rainstorms we have been having.   The wettest/muddiest game I can remember was ____________________.
Bonus:. Name a running back that excelled in the sloppiest conditions

at Point Stadium in October 1996 when FH beat McCort 14-13 (which was the score at halftime). It was a monsoon. The infield was a muddy mess. Little lakes were all over the field. FH QB broke his ankle early in the 1st quarter. Many said it wasn't an accident. FH goes 8-0, then on to an undefeated regular season

Probably 7-8 years ago I think a hurricane hit, Johnstown was undefeated against a one win Central Cambria team.  CC won 7-6

Most of my memories involve games at Forest Hills or Central Cambria. Neither field ever seems to hold up.

2014 BG at FH was some of the hardest rain ive ever seen. It was raining so hard that the qb had to go under center just to be heard over the rain

I think it was 1996 or 1997, Ferndale at Berlin.  The rain was coming in sideways and there were like 10 people left watching the game.  Berlin scored on a fumble return I think early and then the ball never left midfield either way.  It ended 6-0.

There was a Tyrone Forest Hills playoff game in Sidman that was an absolutely muddy mess the mud was halfway up Franco's leg.

1989 Huntingdon at Philipsburg during Hurricane Hugo. Still the most amazing game of football I have seen.
