Pretty surprising day in the WPIAL overall.
Undefeated North Allegheny lost to Seneca Valley in 6A. Those Single A results are a bit surprising and Derry overcame a huge deficit to North Catholic and punched its ticket to Heinz Field for the first time.

I watched this game on trib live. I was surprised at the quality of the video, with instant replay. Great game overall, especially 4th qtr. And I was warm and dry.

The result of this game shows that who you play in the regular season doesn’t make a huge difference of preparing your team for the football playoffs. Penns Valley payed in the difficult Mountain League, but was over matched. Bellwood will be over matched today and it wouldn’t have mattered if they played in a different league.
