When Johnstown is good, people get on their case like Ligonier.

That's funny Enzo! Maybe coach Foust can take his scheme to Jtown and we'll see. One thing is for sure, say what you want about Roger but he is by far, heads and shoulders above the coaches on his staff. We might question and not agree with the stuff he says or does but he is the best coach on that staff by far. Not even close. Maybe Jtown will pay Roger, he doesn't live all that far away.

I think what many either fail to realize or maybe not think about is being a coach at Johnstown is way more than just being a coach. A coach at Ligonier, Richland, etc can worry about x's and o's the vast majority of the time. At Johnstown x's and o's is probably the last thing a coach there worried about. Tony was probably the best person to handle all that comes with that job. If you are a coach looking to spend the majority of your time actually coaching kids Johnstown is probably not the job for you.

Can't disagree with his. But at some point the product on the field has to produce the results others expect from having that much talent available. Jtown is a big school in the area and should win more and with the kids over the years should be in the hunt for state titles. Now if you wanted to be a coach there its a full time job with all the other things you pointed out.

Before we grant saint hood on coach TP, let"s remember how he got the job. His political connections forced-out Marabito. They created a phony job at the school for him, which if you read the newspaper article, they will eliminate after he leaves. This is money that could have been going to the kids. It's tough to coach there and he did a fair job, but lets not build that statue.

I’m not sure how an athletic director is suddenly a created position? Political ties or not and by the way Marabito chose to leave, Penna was at Ferndale and asked to come back. All schools are political and connections get people jobs daily, going above and beyond for these athletes, not just football players, is what Penna chose to do. Way more than wins and losses. No statue needed-that’s just the kind of person he is.

Saying a guy was a good fit at a school is not "granting him saint hood."  Nor is it a call to have a statue built for him.
Not sure how you made that leap

Any names being thrown around for the Johnstown job?  Is Arcurio or Rich Price coming back?   Any teachers with in the system that are candidates?   Is Carlton a possibility ?  Is Wayne Wade available?  Are there any former players that might be interested and are local?

Price's brother and the new superintendant's husband are best buds, and I believe that he is still 'working' there in the job they created when he wanted to coach his sons in bball, so I would imagine it is his if he wants it.
