Coaching Carousel
Re: Coaching Carousel
They basically opened the position and told Felus he could reapply but it was pretty much implied he wouldn't be rehired.Jimjohn81 wrote:What's going on in Altoona? Did they "open" the position or fire Felus? Any reason why? I found an old article saying it wasn't about wins/losses.
You are right it wasn't about wins or losses it was about a complete lack of discipline on and off the field and Felus refusing to hold players accountable for rules violations and other issues like that. He was warned by the board to clean it up and then proceeded to openly defy them.

Everyone in the Forest Hills district has already been talking about Justin Meyers being the new job, was at a basketball game where he was being congratulated by multiple people. Sounds like the Don's replacement has arrived.
Johnstown is awfully quiet with any rumors. If Felus stays local, could he be a candidate, grew up in Cresson? Carlton? Rich Price?
Altoona looking to bring Steve Tanneyhill back to town.
If Franco leaves PC for Tyrone , could Felus show up at his alma mater as new coach?

Re: Coaching Carousel
Sounds like Felis and Wilson got the same treatment. Franco is headed to Tyrone per close source. Any word on Huntingdon? I heard Hudy was leaving.
Re: Coaching Carousel
If Franco goes back to Tyrone and they have average records still, does that hurt legendary status?

lhac63, you seem to be connected with someone at Altoona to have that type of info. What exactly did he do to openly defy the board? Just wonderinglhacfan63 wrote:They basically opened the position and told Felus he could reapply but it was pretty much implied he wouldn't be rehired.Jimjohn81 wrote:What's going on in Altoona? And yet...when we discuss these same exact issues of lack of discipline with regards to the Steelers, many still want to hang onto Tomlin.lhacfan63 wrote:They basically opened the position and told Felus he could reapply but it was pretty much implied he wouldn't be rehired.Jimjohn81 wrote:What's going on in Altoona? Re: Coaching Carousel
The FH board hasn't even advertised the position yet as a matter of rule and order. Once that happens, then candidates submit their resume's and it gets voted on. None of this has happened yet. I will say from my perspective, it at least on the surface appears like it's Justin's once all the hoops have been jumped through.youngbuck wrote:Everyone in the Forest Hills district has already been talking about Justin Meyers being the new job, was at a basketball game where he was being congratulated by multiple people. Do high school players get paid more than their coach? Do high school players have a union? Comparing a high school coach to a pro coach is downright amusing.Manfred wrote:And yet...when we discuss these same exact issues of lack of discipline with regards to the Steelers, many still want to hang onto Tomlin.lhacfan63 wrote:They basically opened the position and told Felus he could reapply but it was pretty much implied he wouldn't be rehired.Jimjohn81 wrote:What's going on in Altoona? Well to be fair....parents act like the coaches and refs are NFL/professionals, not people that enjoy the sports donating their time. You need a pretty stiff backbone to be either now.knowitall wrote:Do high school players get paid more than their coach? Do high school players have a union?
