There is a good article in the Tribune Democrat today explaining the Somerset county schools who are co-opting to allow kids at schools without football teams to continue playing. Shade and Shanksville-Stonycreek have been co-opting for football for 32 seasons. There are five Shanksville-Stonycreek players on Shade this season. Meyersdale co-opts with both Salisbury-Elk Lick and Turkeyfoot Valley. Each school provides one player to Meyersdale this season. Turkeyfoot Valley is a 40 minute drive to Meyersdale. There are nine football players from Rockwood on Berlin's roster this season.
