Goldeneagles12 wrote: August 1st, 2020, 1:07 pm Since this is a fall sports topic. What do you guys think of the no fans at games? Now here in Tyrone we have 2 alleys beside the field already have talked to people they will be packed. I'm sure at other fields with similar setups or a hill people can stand and sit and watch the games you will have the same thing.

Parents might be allowed with social distancing but no fans would be most perferred. I remember what those games/crowds were like 10 years ago... Its a perfect way to have 10 asymptomatic fans to spread it to 40-50 every friday nigbt.

6 more Cardinals tested positive today.. Apparently MLB TV carriers were told to have alternate programming available starting Monday.

I give the baseball season 1 more full week if lucky before a cancellation.

That is generous. I believed the MLBPA was told they were given this weekend and we already have 6 more positive tests and 2 more cancelled games.. Twins are apparently being tested now.

Sounds like Abington Heights may be the first PIAA School to cancel Fall Sports.

If this happens, I expect a snowball effect.

Manfred you just said we should be more like sweeden with covid handling.... if you take their per capita death rate per 1 million citizens (571) and attribute that to rate to the US population (328.2 mil) we would be around 187,402 covid deaths. Over 30k more than what we currently have.

Correct me if im wrong but you are one of the people who believe the US numbers are inflated. If true that would just highlight even more why the idea we need to be like sweeden is even more absurd.

You say im not saying things that are logical but its you that doesnt quite have a grasp on logical statements...

I will put it in a sports analogy for you. Saying we should be more like sweeden is like telling a defense who gives up 30 points per game to play more like a defense that is giving up 40 points a game... Its not logical or does it make sense at all

Especially in that scranton/Wilkes-barre area. Might not effect western teams too much right now but could set off a majoe chain in northeast PA

Norristown beat them to it on Thursday afternoon! They are second.
