The Bishop McCort-Westmont Girls Soccer game was canceled yesterday out of an abundance of caution. No players on either team tested positive.

Shouldn't Forest Hills have to forfeit that game against Westmont, making them 3-2? How can that just remain an open week if there are playoffs on the line?

I thought they already had. There wasn't going to be any way to get it delayed or back into the remaining 10 game schedule.

Forest Hills did not forfeit last week's game. Missing games for COVID does not result in forfeit and I believe that was decided before the season. They can't change that now because the playoff structure wasn't decided until halfway through the year. Just is what it is.

If a team that qualifies opts out, does the first team out get bumped in? Or is it a bye for the opponent?

If a team is not eligible to participate the standings will adjust to move everyone up a spot. Once the bracket is set a team that cannot participate will forfeit.
