Can anyone confirm that they are shut down for two weeks in football?

Re: BG
The information I have heard is that they are shutdown until October 26. The football team can't practice or get together before that time. Hence they would have to forfeit their first round game unless they find a way to make it to the fourth seed, which is pretty hard since they can't get a win during these next 2 weeks.

Yep so Conemaugh Valley picking up a game this week vs Keystone may actually benefit BG should CV lose.Sneakers2 wrote:If #3 and #4 lose, It is real easy to obtain that 1st round bye

I assumed they would be down 10 days like Forest Hills was. Last Wed. 4:10 PM, 5 minutes into the 7th gr. game in Sidman, the stadium was evacuated because they called the game off, and then later it was announced that a week ago today, Thursday, that kids were going virtual and no games against Westmont last Sat. and no game this week against Somerset. Then it was announced that classes were resuming today, 1 week later, and that Somerset was playing FH in Sidman Sat. nt. Who is making up these rules and then changing them later? The CDC? Fauci? Levine/ Jackman Wolfie?
It ain't over until it's over.

Pretty sure it's the districts themselves. This is a result if the spineless "leadership" of Lombardi and the PIAA punting responsibility to the districts. Anybody who has been following the PIAA's decisions throughout the summer could see it would be an unorganized mess once teams started to be affected.Manfred wrote: ↑October 15th, 2020, 3:26 pm Last Wed. 4:10 PM, 5 minutes into the 7th gr. game in Sidman, the stadium was evacuated because they called the game off, and then later it was announced that a week ago today, Thursday, that kids were going virtual and no games against Westmont last Sat. and no game this week against Somerset.
