Question is, does A and AA both go to 12 or 8, for total teams in playoff? AA has 41% of teams in state from district 6 and 7 and i think A has like 48% of teams from 6 and 7

Wondering if there is a harder AA than D6 outside of the WPIAL…

I would think bracketing will be redone and the 6AA winner goes to the final four. We shall see.

Does the 6A winner still get an automatic bid to the final four? I think I saw 15 teams there.

D5, 9, 10 goes to the western final and they have a total of 26 teams as of now.

D3 has 3 class A teams.
D4 has 7
D2 has 1 (Old Forge)
D11 has 6
D1 has 3 (some newer charters that I haven’t heard of)
D12 has 1

Looks like 36 schools in what was the Eastern Bracket

The WPIAL has 30 alone. (Of note- Serra Catholic who made the AA final is down)

The bracket looks like something will be changed. 56 teams in the west. If D5 goes East, there would be 50 and 42

If D9 went East it would be 46 and 46. (Some very small D9s I could see not actually existing).

I know nothing but I could see that as it makes the most sense. The most A teams in the East are in the top half of the state in D4 and D2 which coincides with 9 being in the north. (This is how it would look in my opinion. Again, I have no clue but this is what makes sense in terms of geography.

West (46)
D7 Final 4 (30)
D5/10 Final 4 (16)

East (46)
D6/9 Final 4 (25)
D1, 2, 3, 4, 11, 12 Final 4 (21)
(1,2, 3, 12) vs (4/11)

Couple of questions:

Any word on what Somerset and North Star's schedules will look like?
Has Somerset's desire to create a Somerset County league led anywhere?
Is the LHAC going to fill Somerset's vacancy?

Somerset is still in the LHAC for the 2022-23 school year. It will be interesting to see what their plans are for the future.

I’m still standing pat on my prediction that Tyrone will be joining the LHAC in the near future.

Yea, it's a joke they are going to be playing 5A. They need to take into account they voluntarily move up two classes anyway.

Now the NAACP is involved.
Smart move. Lombardi will stand up like a sandcastle at high tide.

I agree. The move up should be from thier actual classification.
