Central has a solid 5. The Haigh brothers did play but outside of them BG showed very little offensively. At half BG had 20 points with the brothers accounting for 17 of those. Central played a solid man defense and contested every shot. Game was tied at 20 at the half with Central winning the 3rd quarter 20-4. Overall solid team win.

Good win indeed. I assumed BG, PC, and Johnstown would be the teams to beat in the LHAC, but I'd better add Central to the list.

NIL is now allowed in PA high school sports - I'm sure they will be in on this right away!!

Congrats to the Portage girls team for being number 1 in 2A and number 5 in the whole state no matter the classification. Big things for a small town with all home grown girls.

Coach Hudak is doing a FANTASTIC job with them and they are GREAT bunch of girls. Hopefully, they go far in states this year - they had a nice run last year as well.

To be fair though, they have really not played ANYBODY yet. Yes, they did beat Windber & PC, but both those programs are on down years this year. I haven't seen a score for their game with River Valley yet - that would be their first real test. I wonder if that game was postponed because of the weather.
