Crimson, what was your opinion on the play at the end of the game? Bellwood and the Mirror sure don't seem to agree with it.

The ref that had the action right in front of him under the basket signaled a deflection, and possession to McCort. The ref that called the foul came running in from half court. The same ref was whistle happy all night. Made more than a few calls that "weren't his call". I believe on 2 separate occasions, he called a foul simultaneously with one of the other refs had a jump ball. It was a great game that you hate to see either team have to lose. But there was just as much, if not more contact on Thomas' block of Swogger with :10 left. If you're going to let them play at one end, has to be the same as the other end. Thought the Altoona Mirror did a good job of painting a picture of the last few sequences. Not so much by the Johnstown paper. I understand they are both covering their hometown team and are going to spin it how they see fit. But I think Thomas' quote says a lot.....she said "they CALLED a foul". She didn't say she GOT fouled, she said the CALLED a foul. Great game with some outstanding talent on the court. Good luck to both teams and maybe we'll get to see a Round 3

If the ref was in front he couldn't see the reach from behind but the ref from behind could, we don't know. I have seen fouls called from one side of the court that fans on the other side couldn't see because of where they were sitting and start to complain that the "ref blew the call"

If you go to my Twitter, I have the ending of the game recorded.  I didn't have the best angle. So in fairness, I don't know. One ref called a foul the other said out of bounds, from where I was sitting I couldn't tell.

The mirror made it seem like Thomas' block was a foul which I don't think it was. I sat directly across from the Bellwood bench on the floor, and it happened right in front of me.

Not sure what happened but I can say this. Although Bellwood beat BG and only lost by 2 to BM. I'm not sure Bellwood fans no what physical basketball looks like . If it was up to them, Every BG player would have fouled out or been in trouble. And of course Bellwood does no wrong.
