Westmont isn't breaking new ground here. Lancaster J.P. McCaskey did this with a couple girls in a tied match with Delone back in Jan. Delone was forced to forfeit the last 2 matches, giving McCaskey the win. What is extremely ironic in all this, is the self-imposed enforcement, of a rule the Catholics imposed ON THEMSELVES! Don't blame Westy here. They are just "following the rule".

This was public information prior to the match, it is my understanding that Shad Benton has the same number of girls willing to participate and they will be sending out matching girls for any one that Westmont sends out, this is going to get good.

The other part of this is that because they are no longer run by the diocese, this rule does not apply to the catholic schools, if nothing else there are going to be a lot of cameras there when this goes down.

We're not gonna do the "accuse coaches and players of stuff" thing here. Stick to the match itself and the issue at hand. We don't need people coming on here threatening to sue, which has happened in recent weeks.  Don't make things too personal. That's all we ask.

Pancgrappler2 - How can this be?  Bedford is in the diocese for Bishop Guilfoyle?  They have a football player at Guilfoyle.  How can the kid should be at Guilfoyle if they followed their rules the way I understand it.    Can anyone explain?

There is ZERO demographic boundaries for privates schools. Diocese have absolutely nothing to do with anything. You can send your kid to whatever catholic school you so choose and its up to that school to send out a van or minibus to transport you to that school. I knew kids that were almost next door neighbors that lived in Cresson and one went to Carroll the other Guilfoyle

It doesn't work that way. BM would have to show first for it to work. If Shad sent a girl Westy would just counter with an actual wrestler. But if it was BM's turn to show then that's when Westy would send a girl and force the forfeit. BM can put as many girls on their roster as they want but it doesn't work for them.
