Westmont didn't teach those kids how to wrestle Walters, andrews and Kelly learned from Carlton Hazelrig and Allen Andrew's and others. They then began training with Young Guns and doing the travel circuit.
I'm not saying Westmont taught them nothing but let's not act like they are who they are because of Westmont.

Mccort had their kids in a room that is amoungst the best in D6 .. If not the best. . when the school was in turmoil. . they got to go to the best tourneys and wrestle the best competition. .. We were used. .. They are saying they want to grow wrestling ... Hogwash ... They want WH FA RICH BED UNITED etc to grow wrestling so they can use them. .. This is an ego thing period ... We wrestled rich in Tuesday. . they have 7 wrestlers .. 7!! .. Richland ... The sport is a niche sport ... Im sick of the rules being used against us ... This one is for the Girls baby

According to Eric's article they can't "call their bluff."  If Anthony goes out to wrestle and Westmont sends a girl.  Anthony has to forfeit.  There is no way around it.

Because we are wimps and we are raising our kids to be even bigger wimps.  It's too cold!

With all due respect, you have no idea what your talking about. I would say a large part of the wrestler some of these guys have developed into was a direct result of direction recvd at Westmont. You don't just jump from 8th in the state to dang near winning a state title then next year by accident. Westmont alumni accolades speak for themselves. I think trying to recruit one of Westmonts coaches speaks volumes as well (can't blame you as they have about 11 PIAA medals amongst them).  You're right, they aren't who they are because of Westmont, but minimizing the role Westmont played is just laughable.

Yes, I understand. My question was would a girl actually wrestle if McCort were to act against their own rule. It's easy for a coach to say to a girl "just go out and they will forfeit", but hypothetically would that girl opt to stay out there if it seemed as if the match would happen.

Matt Beaujon should be fired if he follows through with sending 10 girls to the mat.  He should be fired for pulling these 10 girls into a ridiculous little game and getting them involved, and shame on the parents of the girls for letting them be a part of it. HS sports are supposed be about the kids.  Not the self-centered egos of adults.
