Several years ago, at the beginning of the St. Joe's run, opening tournament was at St. Mary's. One of our fathers came down in confusion. He asked what was up with the St. Joe's parents. They were in the stands, before the tourney, introducing themselves to each other like they had never met before. We had to explain the difference between how they built a team, compared to how we had to build a team. He was shocked and amazed.

ill agree 100% in your opinon what would have been the death penalty in your opinion
Bishop McCort’s wrestling program should be terminated permanently.

I am so glad that D6 and the PIAA came down on BM very hard even though they weren't doing a dang thing when the same people involved were trying to create the same all-star team at FH.

This is what is lost on all you parochial school haters. Basset was trying to put this same all-star team together at FH, the problem was he couldn't get the HC job there. If he was able to, this dog and pony show would have happened at FH, but to Basset;s bad luck FH is one of the few local schools in that area that has not just a competent coach, but a star coach already. Not one person, (superintendent, principal, AD, coach, etc.) made one complaint when Basset was putting this all start team together in FH. But he doesn't get his way there as far as being HC, so he finds a place that he can be HC and take his team (which again was already in place at FH) and all the sudden what he is doing is wrong?

My point is, if what he did at BM is/was wrong, then it should have been wrong while he was trying to do it at FH which no one took issue with.

Now there are tough guys on here saying that BM should have their program terminated permanently? PSU allowed a known child rapist full access on campus for a decade, and they didn't miss 1 game (yes they had other penalties but not 1 game was missed). Yet you want a school and kids at that school to miss the chance to compete for something that was originally happening at a public school district that no one had an issue with until it went Catholic?

As far as as the North Carolina and Tennessee kid. For an area that has lost and continues to loose population, way to be unwelcoming.

That's a wild take. Maybe Central PA should just repeal all its rules and standards to attract out of staters.

Don't want to read and write in school? Come on in! Like to drink and drive? Welcome! Wearing pants too much of a burden for you? Looks like you've got a friend in PA.

You say I have a wild take?

1st I didn't say repeal all its rules. My argument is this all-star team was already being created at a public school and not a peep from other public schools. But they take the show to a Parochial School once the leader couldn't get the HC job, then all the sudden its bad. These kids were coming from out of district to FH, they weren't homegrown outside of the family. Its a double standard and the PIAA and anyone who agrees with them are hypocrites. Either punish FH too or free BM, anything less than that is BS.

As far as you're nonsense about not reading and writing , drinking and driving, that is a pathetic attempt at a strawman argument. Not saying to pimp themselves to attract out of state residents, but the region should be trying to do something within reason. The tax base is just getting smaller and smaller.
