2017 High School Baseball Season

Its not the weather.. it s the timing.  Baseball season shouldn't start until mid-April.  There is a reason northern pro teams train in Florida!  No need to bump everything up so early so that football season can begin during the dog days of summer!

It's not the issue of nice warm weather Friday or next week. It's the issue of that the teams haven't been outside yet. Some teams have only been outside once. Exception Somerset . You can't start the season yet. They need to be outside for a few practices and just because it's warm the fields are still soaked. It's going to be maybe late next week or the first full week of April .

Tussey Mountain and Mt. Union scrimmaged today.

Teams have been outside here and there. The foot of snow is what put a kink in things. Of course the April rain always happens too during the 1st or 2nd week of the season
